Early College

Welcome to Early College!  Early College provides Innovation Academy students the opportunity to experience and earn college credit through Rogue Community College. Along with this opportunity comes ownership and responsibility for both Students and Parents. Students will need to make sure that they are prepared for the academic rigor and that the parent/guardian is in alignment with their students academic pursuits. Should the student need additional help, please reach out to your High School Counselor.

Guidelines for taking “Early College” Courses

  1. Recommendation and Approval must be provided by your high school counselor or counselors
    1. Innovation Academy Counselor - Tina Webb 
    2. Project Youth + Advisor - Troy McNichols 
  2. Courses must be 100 level or higher and serve the students educational plan in order for the district to pay for the course.  Innovation Students are allowed to take 2 courses per semester.
  3. Classes are delivered on one of RCC’s Campuses or Online through the RCC Student Portal
  4. Unless otherwise approved by the high school counselor, all college credit earned may be transcripted as ELECTIVE credit for Innovation Academy and Innovation Online Schools.   

Admission and Registration: Your 6 Steps to Success 

After receiving approval the student should follow these steps to complete the admissions and registration process:

  1. Go to RCC Admissions and Registration - Rogue Community College
  2. Click the “Apply Now” button and answer the admissions questions

IMPORTANT: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN RCC # DO NOT CREATE A SECOND ONE!

  1. Complete the Placement Process by going here:

  1. After completing the admissions & placement process, the student will be  issued a RCC ID #, The student is required to submit the Google Early College Permission Agreement at the link below:

  1. The Admissions Department will notify you of any additional steps and who your Academic / Career Coach will be.  Connect with this person before registering for classes!  They can assist you with any issues, concerns, and some barriers.  


Register for Classes by logging in to the MyRogue Student Portal. When you approach the payment part - select “Pay Later."  Print off your student registration, make sure it includes the cost of your coursework. Deliver this paperwork to Tina Webb in person at Innovation Academy.
